Katrina Dooda

  

Katrina Dooda has always found joy in dance, movement, and music and became a fitness instructor after discovering Zumba while looking for a way to lose weight after baby #2 was born. She took classical ballet classes throughout her childhood and into adulthood, but it took Zumba’s hip-swinging rhythms and easy-to-follow choreography to unleash her inner dance diva. Zumba was her “gateway fitness” in a room full of supportive friends who didn’t take themselves too seriously. She fell in love with Pound shortly after, which not only provided a way to connect with the rhythm of the music, but also an opportunity to become a rock star. Katrina became licensed as a Zumba instructor in 2014 and a certified POUND Pro in 2016. With Zumba and POUND, you can get lost in the music and fitness becomes fun! As an instructor, Katrina encourages her class to let loose, have fun, and laugh with each other.

Rita Glynn

 Rita Glynn (POUND Pro, AFAA Group Exercise Instructor) has always been a lover of music and movement. As a professional performer from the age of eight years old, her first career landed her on Broadway and on a National Broadway Tour. Rita’s love for dance and choreography inspired her to become a teacher of the Ballet Burn, a level 3 Pure Barre Instructor, and a lead instructor for PopUp Workout. On a journey to find movement that felt more joyful and expressive, Rita found POUND at The Levin JCC taught by Katrina Dooda, and fell in love with it from the moment she took her first class. It was the perfect combination of awesome music, rhythmic drumming, and fun choreography. Class felt inclusive of people in all different bodies, fitness levels, ages, and backgrounds and she loved that the focus of Pound was on building community and making noise! Rita could not be more excited to share her love of POUND with the community.

Watanya Resper

  

Watanya Resper is an AFAA Certified and Licensed Zumba® Instructor for over 5 years. Licensed to teach Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Zumba® Kids & Kids Jr., Aqua Zumba ® and Zumba® Sentao. She has a diverse teaching experience throughout the country with focus on international rhythms and genres including African, Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Soca, Cumbia, and more. Zumba is a cardio-dance intermittent workout that uses Latin and other international genres of music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. The Zumba® fitness party has not only helped Watanya lose over 40lbs, but has also maintained the weight loss and enjoy the workouts.  If you are looking to burn some calories while dancing come join Watanya’s Zumba® fitness party!
